Editor's Verdict: DList.com is a gay dating site where members can meet others from all around the world for online and offline relationships. It's aimed at the younger market and looks stylish and is fairly easy to use. Whilst it does have plenty of features to commend it, sadly it lacks the membership base of many of our top 10 sites and lacks one or two features. But, if it's free no strings fun you want then check it out. Joining is free and simple, taking just a minute. All you need is a valid email address. If you're looking for a more serious relationship, or are searching for more mature guys to date then this probably isn't the site for you. Instead, you should try OutPersonals.com or another site in our top 10 instead. When you login, you'll find a well laid out and easy to navigate site at your disposal. You'll also get the opportunity to upgrade to DList Plus membership for a fairly reasonable fee. If you're a basic member then you won't get access to members' private pictures (usually sexually explicit material). Nor will you be able to use the advanced search engine to sort through profiles. It's best to browse the site as a free member for a little while. If you find that you like the feel of the site and you're getting plenty of communications from other members, then you might consider paying the modest monthly subscription fee. In addition to receiving access to all member pictures and advanced searches, you also get additional features to help you find the right guy for you. Is it worth forking out the extra for DListPlus? Well, if you're serious enough to want to pay money to subscribe to a dating site then there are better ones to choose from than DList.com. However, as a free site it's a pretty good one, just resist the temptation to upgrade when your money would be better spent elsewhere. Because the membership base is smaller than on many other sites you might also struggle to find guys near to you. It's possible to contact other members in a couple of ways; by email or in the chat rooms. With reference to email, as well as sending messages you can create lists of favorite members (those you are in regular contact with). In addition, it's possible to use the 'I'm into you' feature to flirt with members you think are hot. It's possible to allow yourself to be known to others or do this anonymously. However, other than boosting someone's self-esteem there seems very little point in remaining anonymous when you do this. The profiles themselves are quite detailed and the pictures are reasonably large. When browsing it's possible to flip between quick and detailed profile views. Profiles bear some relation to the format you'd see on MySpace.com and this compounds the observation that the site caters generally to a younger crowd. In terms of other features, you'll find groups that you can contact in order to chat about common interests (categories comprise art & music, film & tv, geographic, common interests, organizations and 'other'). The chat rooms aren't the busiest that you'll find, but they're worth checking out for free. In case you have problems or questions, there's a FAQs section to look through. Failing that, you'll have to email the support desk directly. DList.com is a nice little gay dating site with plenty of features. It's easy to get started and great if you're looking for no-strings fun with younger guys.
