GKiss.com is nectar to the lips of those looking for gay dating, love and relationships. It aims at gay men and women looking for a meaningful and loving relationship and packs in quite a lot of features, including the capacity for free members to send emails and flirtatious winks to other members. However, it suffers from a lower active membership base than some of its rivals.

Whilst it may be a little more involved to join GKiss than some other gay dating sites, the process is still fairly painless. Membership is free and it doesn't take too long to create a profile by completing a standard membership form. You can also upload a photo, or wait until later if you'd prefer. You can also revisit and complete parts of your profile later on f your brain starts to hurt a bit.

Unlike most other free memberships, it's possible to send emails to other members and to flirt by sending 'winks'. The basic rule is that standard (free) members can only reply to messages, whereas to initiate contact with other members you'll need to upgrade to a Gold membership. This is quite common to many of the gay dating sites whereby membership is free, but potentially obsolete without the capacity to communicate freely with members, which is something you'll have to pay for. That said, it's not the most expensive site out there. Whether it's worth paying for is entirely at your discretion. The best advice would be to have a look around the site, then compare it with, say, AdultFriendFinder.com and see where you'd rather spend your money. My guess is that a site such as AdultFriendFinder.com, with their larger membership base, would be a better option.

It's fair to say that GKiss.com is reasonably bereft of active members. The site's motto is 'where gay friends and singles feel at home', whereas 'where gay friends and singles stay at home' might have been more appropriate. In terms of other features, there is a single chat room, and if you tune in at the right time you might just see a ball of tumbleweed as it breezes by. The chances of finding a date here are therefore slimmer (to put it mildly) than on many other gay dating sites. In fact, you'd probably have a better chance of scoring on the poop deck of the Marie Celeste. The fact that so many profiles lack a photo is quite telling.

If you're still considering whether to upgrade your membership, then you're well on your way to remaining a lonely, frustrated gay person. Whilst GKiss.com does have a few interesting features and looks pretty good, you wouldn't kiss a frog unless you knew it was going to turn into a prince.
