GayDating.com is a fairly standard gay dating site for both men and women. It has all of the basic features that you'd expect on a site of this kind, and is clearly ordered. However, it lacks the extra sparkle of our top 10 gay dating sites and the membership base is smaller in comparison. That said, you'll usually find a couple of thousand new members signing up each week.

It's free to sign up for basic membership. Just indicate the kind of date you're looking for, choode a username and password and you're off. Before you can proceed to the homepage you'll need to complete some personal details and upload a photo. However, it's possible to skip the photo and upload one later. You're reminded that it's important to include a photo of yourself as it's unlikely that you'll receive much (if any) genuine interest without one. You might also want to consider whether it's worth upgrading to gold membership. The answer to this is both 'yes' and 'no'. It's definitely worth upgrading your membership if you're serious about dating, in which case your money would be better splashed in the direction of OutPersonals.com. It's also pointless not upgrading as you'll be unable to communicate with other members, which pretty much puts paid to any hopes of getting a date anyway. If you like the site, and you should have a look around first before you commit yourself, sign up for just a month.

You can control your membership from the refreshingly straightforward homepage. From here, you can search or browse member profiles, check messages and amend your profile. There isn't a whole lot else. If you like the more straightforward dating sites that are easily navigable, then you'll probably like it here. The profiles give a fair amount of background information and the profile photos are large and detailed enough to give you a good idea of what other members look like. If you're a free member you're limited to 'flirting' with members to show an interest. This is effectively the equivalent of batting your eyelashes from half a mile away. And that's it. The site then invites you to upgrade to gold membership, which allows you to send gifts (for which you need to purchase tokens and is completely pointless), emails or instant message other members. So, unless you upgrade and stump up the money, this is where your romantic (or other) dreams are dashed upon the jagged rocks of economic reality. However, you can use the chat rooms, which, whilst free, do tend to pale in comparison to others such as GayFriendFinder.com.

You'll find plenty of great guys (and girls) on GayDating.com that cover a broad spectrum of categories. Whether you like them big, hairy, (and quite frankly, scary) or are looking for somebody insipid and submissive to tie up and dominate, you'll most likely find them here. That said, there aren't as many active members as on our top sites. Expect to find a couple of hundred online . Finally, you'll find a comprehensive FAQs section and responsive email helpdesk should you need them.

Whilst GayDating.com is a nice little dating site, there's little point in joining if you're not intending to upgrade. Moreover, if you're serious about dating and are prepared to pay, you'd really be better off spending your money on one of the bigger sites.
