You can then click on the 'summary' tab in order to review your search criteria. When you're satisfied you can then just click on search and let the search engine do its thing, after which it will list all the profiles matching your specified criteria.

Editor's Verdict:

Manhunt.net grabs you from the intro screen as you are confronted by the image of a large, muscular man in a pair of skimpy, white pants. The name itself is also rather suggestive, conjuring up images of being swept up in a giant net or trapped in a cage to become the plaything of a lost tribe of spear-wielding Vin Diesel lookalikes. You may be glad (or slightly disappointed) to learn that Manhunt.net isn't quite like this. That said, it's not really the site for the die-hard romantic. If you're looking to hook up with guys for no strings encounters then fine. If you want something a little less superficial then you might be disappointed and it would be better to visit another site such as GayFriendFinder.com or GayRomeo.com instead.

Before signing up, it's worth taking the short site tour in order to get an idea of what's on offer. You can get a good idea of the way the site is organised and laid out. At the end of the tour you'll be invited to register. This involves choosing a profile name, giving a valid email address and writing a bit about yourself as well as uploading a photograph. You can also create a personal profile or skip this until later.

When you log in you'll be directed to the homepage (known as the dashboard), which immediately puts you in the driving seat. From here you can browse profiles of guys near you, check your messages, see what your buddies are up to and preview your profile. You can also access the site's blog, site hints and tips, access the shop and check out new pictures from Manhunt parties around the world. There are separate screens for membership account management, profile management and a picture manager. The dashboard has been really well designed and it doesn't take long to learn how to navigate your way around the site and learn how to use the membership features. The only drawback is that the design is very similar for all features, which can be a little confusing at first. However, it shouldn't take you long to get a grasp.

At the time of this review there were over 30,000 members online so it's fairly likely that you should be able to find a date easily. As well as browsing profiles you can cruise for members online near you. It's a useful way of meeting local guys very quickly, but doesn't specify any further than location. This is fine if you're not choosy. If you are, you can hover over the 'men online' tab and get additional browsing options. If you find someone you like the look of you can check out the guy's picture and profile details. As an unlimited member it's possible to enlarge profile pictures for greater detail. If you're willing to take the plunge you can then add him to your 'buddies' list or send an email or use Instant Messenger to communicate. It's also possible to block other members so they can't get in touch with you.If you're feeling a little bit coy, you can also wink at another member and see if they respond. However, the site lacks any chatroom, webcam or video features that you see on other sites such as Gay.com.

Once you've begun to build up a list of contacts, or 'buddies', you can manage this list, edit the pictures that appear next to their names on the buddies list and also add your own notes about each member. From here, it's pretty much up to you how to take things forward. You may well find yourself meeting up with guys within hours of joining, that is, if you want to. You can also block other members that you don't want to communicate with.

The fact that Manhunt.net 'cares' is conveyed by the 'health' tab on the homepage. It's full of information and resources about safe sex and is useful should members require any guidance or help. The fact that Manhunt.net do this may seem a little ironic, but it's obviously important to make the information available and leave it to members whether they decide to read it and act upon it. Just to mention a couple of other features, the site links to On The Hunt.com, comprising videos of Manhunt.net amateurs. So, if you want to be an adult movie star then here's your chance. There's also video on demand (Manhunt.tv), a shop selling adult products and a live sexcam site (Manhunt.live). So, plenty to keep you occupied.

For any site-related help and guidance, there's a comprehensive online help centre full of FAQs on all aspects of the site, as well as a search feature. Failing this, you can email a customer service representative and they'll usually reply fairly promptly, often within a couple of hours.

Manhunt.net may lack a few of the features of those sites higher up the top 10, but still has plenty to recommend it. With thousands of members all over the world, it's a great place through which to meet loads of guys for sexy shenanigans.
