Whether it’s a belt buckle, a full body leather suit, a bit of rubber or a rack, Recon has been set up to help guys who have a fetish interest to chat and potentially hook up. Whilst it goes beyond the call of duty by allowing members to set up events and share them with the community,  its chat features are a little limited when compared with some other sites, and a stronger sense of community could be built by incorporating forum and chat room features.

Recon.com says it is the world’s largest hook-up site for men who are into fetish gear. This is supported by its membership numbers and its apparent active membership. When we were online there were over 30,000 members online, which is very impressive. This reassured us that you ought to be able to find a guy who’s interested in what you’re into, most times of the day and night. It can also help you to find horny guys in your area in the near future (perhaps even tonight) which is a good way to find no-strings fun in an instant. This section is subdivided into locations, the vast majority of which are in North America and Europe.

Profiles are a little nondescript, but offer basic physical information, and all members are required to upload at least one profile photo to complete their sign up process. As such you may find a fair few inactive profiles, but these can easily be ignored. If you perform a search as a basic member then you’re fairly limited in what you can search for, but upgraded members have a lot more options, which ought to help in finding men.

Upgraded membership is pretty darn cheap and offers very good value for money. If you find a member who interests you then you can contact them by sending a message, but otherwise there are few options. There are no webcam options. You can however check out some promo videos, wallpapers, banners and magazine articles, but the lack of live action does seem something of a missed opportunity.

As you might expect from a site which focuses on fetish gear, the online store sells exactly that. There’s plenty of choice here, from rubber, bondage, clothing, toys, leather, dungeon, accessories, tickets and more. It’s a well designed store with fair prices, and talking about the products with other members may be a good way to take things to the next step.

If you’re a guy with a fetish for fetish gear then Recon is certainly a site worth checking out. Its high membership numbers and impressive number of online active members means that you’re bound to find a guy who’s likeminded, even if its features are lacking somewhat.
