I've been a member for a year and a half of good ole' Compatible Partners. When I first joined in May of 2013 I was looking forward to finally being able to talk with guys who really want to settle down and finally meet the one guy that would be my real connection. At first, it started off very well--I met a great guy, but he lived in CA, while I was back in PA. We talked everyday, hit it off completely. However, I did some research on him...things started to not add up. Who he said he was, versus who he was, resume wise, etc. His age was a lie...his credentials matched up, but you can't be 36 and have graduated college in 83'. I finally confronted him, and our communication ended. I hung in there, because, "good guys" are to be on this site. The next guy, well, another "catfish". We chatted, talked on the phone every night, every weekend for hours, traded texts and pictures...seemed like the perfect guy. We agreed to meet in DC. Compatible Partners offers nothing to the user. As a paying user, you can not tell who has paid, and who hasn't, but you can only communicate with paying members.

I am Canadian. Compatible Partners thought it was a good idea, to make 50% of my matches people from the USA, even though I was very clear that I was only interested in people that lived close to me, and I live in a big city. I suppose a 3 hour border line up or the notion of having to immigrate to another country for your true love is not a factor.

This service cost me $240 for one year. In 6 months I received about 20 matches. I successfully communicated with one of them. The rest of them, well maybe they were the "test profiles" they talk about in the fine print! After 6 months, Compatible Partners canceled my subscription with no reason provided what so ever, and no refund offered.

Please do not give this company any money, and do not even add a free profile, that would just be misleading to the folks out there that have paid or are thinking of paying. ... (Read the full review)
