CaffmosCommunity.com is a gay dating site designed specifically for those looking for older and more mature men. For a site with a free membership option you get quite a few useful features and it’s a fairly professional looking and easy to navigate site. If you’re looking for an older guy, or you’re an older guy looking for love or a hook up then this could be a site worth visiting. Whilst hook ups are of course an option (and the site allows webcam use for anything you might desire) there’s also a dedication to friendship and lasting relationships, which is apparent through its inclusion of travel and events organising tools, as well as articles on gay-friendly venues and businesses.

It’s free to register as a member and to receive Bronze level membership. All that’s required is for you to fill in a few details and provide a valid email address in order to activate your membership. It won’t take you more than five minutes to do this. Whilst the membership base is very small (338 at the time of this review, which is down a little from the last review), you do get more features for free than on many other free gay dating sites. Importantly, you get unrestricted access to all members and there are no restrictions on communicating via email. It’s therefore worth trying if you’re looking to date more mature men. The chances of finding a date are obviously reduced given the membership base, but it’s worth taking up the free membership and giving it a try. If you’re looking to upgrade, you might instead think about a subscription to one of the larger sites such as OutPersonals.com. Whilst they may not be quite as inexpensive, you’re much more likely to have more success, and there are plenty of more mature guys to browse.

Searching is fairly basic, but given the membership numbers you won't find them too limiting. You can also filter your searches based on who is online and who is chatting, which is a good way to quickly find members who are available and willing to chat when you are. Profiles are fairly standard and don't really include a massive amount of information. Meanwhile photos are of a fine quality, but nothing outstanding, and you can also get involved in "rating" them, whereby you choose a rating of between 1 and 10 to give an idea of how attractive you find a member.

If you’re a free member you miss out on a few features and your access to things like searches, photo galleries and chat rooms is restricted. However, as mentioned above, you’d be better off at one of our top 10 sites if you’re serious about finding somebody/many bodies. However, if you do decide to upgrade to a Gold membership (which is admittedly very inexpensive) then you’ll get unrestricted access to all features on the site. However, with features such as the chat rooms the lack of others sometimes means that there are few people to chat with. Make sure that you have a look at features such as the chat rooms before deciding to commit. Likewise, it’s debatable as to whether the extra photo galleries you can access with a Gold membership are really worth paying the extra for. Probably the most useful features you’ll get with Gold membership are the advanced search and messaging features, because they facilitate finding a date. Another advantage of upgrading is that other members will take you a little more seriously. Being a free site you should be wary of the veracity of profiles and take time to get to know somebody before arranging to meet. Obviously, this goes for all free dating sites. However, the advantage of a site for mature dating is that it’s likely you’ll be able to outrun your date, should the need arise. 

CaffmosCommunity.com is as much a community site as a dating site. You can explore gay-friendly travel, business and accommodation opportunities, as well as social events. Dating aside, it’s worth registering just to check these listings out in the ‘Directory’. For example, the travel section not only offers reviews of resorts and amenities, but you can also advertise for a travel companion or browse adverts posted by others. These features really add another dimension to the site because they help you to meet with men in real life, in a safe and secure area which is gay friendly, and has been used by others. In case you get stuck there’s a fairly informative FAQs section and a support email address.

In summary, CaffmosCommunity.com gives you a fairly immersive online experience and plenty of features for free. If you’re into gay silver surfers then it’s worth a go. However, with a smaller membership base it’s questionable whether you’ll find too much choice, in which case you might want to check out one of the sites further up our top 10 list.
